The Audies are considered the Oscars for audiobooks. "Tree of Smoke" by Denis Johnson won for Literary Fiction and "Tin Roof Blowdown" by
James Lee Burke won for Mystery.

Denis Johnson also writes plays, which are developed by an organization called New River Dramatists, which does readings in NYC. Patton was in Psychos
Never Dream last week and Purvis last year. Good plays, good performances, a really nice guy, apparently. .
